Our Curriculum
At Caritas College we are an independent private school with a national and international accredited exit qualification. We offer ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) as our main curriculum from Grades 1-12, aligned with CAPS, leading to LCA exit diploma (international Diploma). This qualification is accepted at all major Universities in South Africa as well as abroad.
For an alternative high school curriculum, we provide ACE online through Comprehend Africa, which is CAPS-aligned, or the GED.
We also host an affiliate learning center for Educate SA for the FET Phase (Gr 10-12) offering the American High School Diploma
Our culture
At Caritas College we believe in developing our children holistically and therefore we have incorporated Hip Hop dance, music lessons, dance, drama and leadership development programs in our weekly activities. This affords the students to give expression to the God given gifts and talents that they posses.
Our culture evening is a yearly event where these gifts are put on display for the parents and friends to enjoy.
We also take part in the yearly Eisteddfod auditions held in Bethlehem.
Our sports
We form part of SACSA (South African Christian Schools Sports Association) which affords our school the opportunity to compete in various disciplines against other schools in our area and across South Africa.
We also specialize in individual sports disciplines namely tennis, archery and more to follow in which our children receive professional coaching and can advance to international stages.

The Personalized System of Instruction (PSI)
The PSI system allows a learner to work in an individualised, self-paced manner that embraces discovery learning and mastery.
Learners are allowed the time they need to achieve mastery and may not progress until they master the concept they are working on.
The foundational concept of PSI is that learning remains constant whilst time is variable. This contrasts with conventional education systems where time on task is constant and learning is variable.
